DMs - Did you get offered the new positions yet?

At my store we've been interviewing for the last few days and told we'd have an announcement on Thursday (Jan 26) regarding who got the new positions.

It's been silent since my interview and am curious if they were going to call/talk to those that interviewed before they make the general announcement.

How is it working at your store? Do you already know for sure who got the new positions? Are you all waiting for an announcement tomorrow? Will those that get offered the positions be notified before the announcement (and have the opportunity to "accept")?

Not for me. 20 yrs had no bearing on it. Was told by SM it's not a popularity contest. 18 yrs as a mngr down the toilet. My replacement has 4 wks as a DM, but by all means, give it to him. I'm looking forward to the floor position, no more reports,boring meeting. Oh yeah..It might get fun again. At least for a year

Was offered a position this morning. Yay. No pay increase for the increased responsibilities... but I did get a $0.60 annual merit increase. I thought the new positions came with higher salary and the annual merit increase?

We will find out this morning.. Most of the talk is about who is in with who trying to figure out the ones they will select. I guess it will depend on your SM and who he is. If he wants strong people he will pick the best that can do the job. If he's a weak SM he will will pick the ones that will keep him protected.

We were told that our SM and HR would receive the official communication by 7am EST on Friday. Of course our SM was off 12 days prior to the Tuesday that the restructure was revealed. Took the following Wednesday thru Friday off after our meeting. Was off Tuesday and Wednesday this week, and went home early today. Hopefully he shows up tomorrow to face us like a man. We have tons of questions that have gone unanswered. Of course he had probably been off because this restructure has really been hard on him....psshht, b--ch please.

Heard it wasn't even the store manager at my store ... but the district manager.

We were told that it would be Friday, so no time to prep, don't even know bout raise. Who are the clowns that are making all these decisions?
