March 8 Layoff Confirmed

My list is finalized. Big layoff coming on March 8. Sad, very sad. And another lawsuit. https://www.theregister.co.uk/2017/01/23/realtime_data_suit_rackspace_netapp/

to the Zen person with the emoji's etc. do yourself a favor lay off the crack pipe.

not sure what you are trying to say, but you sound like either ted or bill on an adventure.

here is my take, worked for NTAP 10 years, 8 in a very productive position, got moved from a money making position to a money taking position. working for a token indian who had more BS than a cattle ranch. worthless job, position, and director. got let go. BOO HOO, received my first offer 30 minutes after let go, signed contract with new employer 48 hours later, 40K raise. so sit spew your bile, there is a great life after NTAP. If i was upper mgmt, I would have layed myself off as well. It is just a shame that so many worthless mgrs and directors get away scott free, and just get reassigned or promoted while bread and butter employees get let go. best of luck to you all.

Is this why new rumors are floating? http://www.bizjournals.com/sanjose/news/2016/11/04/why-is-netapp-is-announcing-a-new-round-of-layoffs.html

Article from back in Nov states NetApp made a regulatory filing and then states layoffs would happen gradually through to May 2017.

Expect Nothing, Accept everything. So if we meet expectations. Good! Accept it. If NOT? Then we would have lost NOTHING, because we didn't expect it.

If there are Layoffs? Accept it. If NOT? Then be pleasantly surprised you still have a Job. Time to sign off. 🤗 Enjoy the Journey and the view. Don't miss it because you allowed someone to distract you on the way to your destination. 👍

free·dom of speech

noun

the right to express any opinions without censorship or restraint.

I guess you're exercising your right as well, but please leave the obscenities at home.

Don't be so arrogant. You seem to enjoy controlling what people want to say. You probably have control issues. That's why it was mentioned you can speak your mind. You were likely a bully. 😜

Why can't you leave people be. Lol. Don't get too worked up and take a chill pill. Civics class is what you need. You speak with so much certainty that you're likely a fortune teller or psychic. Lol.

But wait, most of those businesses went bankrupt. Count on 3Q missing the target. Now who's wrong then? And then drum roll.... layoffs! Whether 3/8 or 4/8. It will come.

"Last I checked we have freedom of speech as one of our rights."

I'm guessing you've never checked in your life, otherwise you'd realize just how ridiculous a statement that is in this context.

Back to the relevant topic, the posts here haven't been right every time. Over the last year people were posting about an upcoming layoff and dropping dates every quarter until they finally got one right. Of course you'll eventually be right if you call it for every single quarter. Those people have basically made this site worthless by posting BS info. You can usually spot the phonies if you pay attention though. When someone claims to have their list finalized (managers don't make those decisions at NetApp) and then post a link to a completely irrelevant article as if it somehow gives weight to their statement, it's a safe bet they're full of crap.

Not sure what "freedom of speech" has got to do with anything here. Were you absent that day in Civics class?

Why so much hate? Is Netapp the only place to work? Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

Last I checked we have freedom of speech as one of our rights. Haters are usually insecure about themselves. If you're an executive trying to change an employee's mind. Maybe this is a wakeup call and accept you need to do something to right the wrong.

A good leader never gets upset at criticism, but uses it to better himself/herself. Maybe you talk more than you listen.

Last comment is spot on. They've been right EVERY time. Maybe off by a day or two.

Well it looks like NetApp's finest are here trolling as usual - trying to down play yet another round of layoffs and calling everyone else a troll... You know what's so funny is that this is a website that is fully dedicated to:

"News, personal experiences, rumors and speculations about layoffs at your company"

If you dislike it so much, why do you bother trolling around here trying to deny an upcoming layoff? From what I have seen the last few years, the speculators, while haven't necessarily been right on the nose with the date HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY ON THE MONEY THAT THERE WAS A COMING LAYOFF...

Dunno, but really doubt it. Guess who's stock is climbing after the story was published?

I theregister owner is such a liberal. Dude has no idea about reality vs fiction. Worse is he isn't even making much money. Sad story.

Move on.

those trolls spreading layoff rumors here probably got laid off before and still like their layback positions. netapp is better off for sure by getting rid of those trolls.

If you were in a position to make the "list", then you wouldn't post a link to a patent troll lawsuit as if it were somehow relevant. You're useless, and your posting here is useless.
