Cutting 170 jobs company wide, hatched falling Monday and Tuesday 1/23 and 1/24. Twinsburg Oh lost 7 today, finance/IT and call center.

Well, they got me. Had 38 years of service in IT with very few complaints and always good/great ratings. Called me on the phone at 10:23:30 on Monday 01/23/2017 and basically said "Bye" ... you no longer work here. Get your personal stuff and get out. Not even so much as a "thank you" or a "kiss my corporate a--" or anything ... just "Bye". HR lady was about as cold a personality as I've ever encountered. My supervisor didn't even know about it until 5 minutes before the call.
Yes, have to get those stock prices back up, and how better than to lay off even more experienced personnel, leaving the remaining employees even less able to provide the service their customers have a right to expect.
Headcount reduction mandate from the top. Departments required to cut a set number. Accounting, HR, engineering, etc. No consideration of future impact or risk to departments without excess headcount. Multiple VP and SVP positions added just week before. High expectations and low rewards to remaining employees.
Was the accounting department affected?
Around 50 laid off in little Rock today 1/23, all from operations and engineering.
Any news of additional ones coming? Haven't heard any news here.
