Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

The next year will s--- for CSAs

What will the attitude of the "DMs" have now that they have no more authority & were basically beat down. This should be good - they can't tell you what to do but make more money while having less responsibility.

Now the former DMs will make an average of $7 more an hour over the PT and $5 more an hour over FT but will not be responsible for anything more than the CSAs, whether you're a CSA1 or CSA3.

Sounds like a great gig to me - and you have a year to find something else? Jeez...that's cake.

If you thought some of those DMs were bad before, try getting them to do jobs now they wouldn't do before! I hope they don't think they're going to skate around making more money without doing jobs they turned their noses up at just 2 weeks ago.

Get ready to work again boys & girls...

There were a lot of older DM's stuck in the past and comfortable. This is not going to be easy and it is upsetting a lot. They made their own schedules. Now if they take the Service Manager I hear its an untouchable rotation and open availability is key since they repeated it like 20 times. No matter what it's not going to be good for anyone. The few that survive get a few pennies. a 3-5% increase and the ones that stay into another position get 15% less. Niblock is sitting there laughing his a-- off. Who cares if customer service s---s now he saved them millions in benefits and salary.

Humm, I am one of the DM's that have been downsized and sorry to bust your bitter bubble but I bust my A-- in my department every day right along side the folks on my team. Am I still going to bust my A--?, YEP , why because I'm happy to still have a job even if I do not get one of the newly created positions I will still have a job for a year. I would rather be employed in some capacity rather than sitting on no $ unemployment why I try to start over! Lowes really is not a bad place to work regardless of the current transition!

Ouch, sounds like GrowUp has butt hurt!

Simply stating the facts, facts that probably describe you. Like Lowe's, you can't see the big picture. Just how are those lazy DMs going to react to being actual workers again? Ha ha...right, they're going to start doing the real work in the stores! They will be sneaking around looking for a way back into management and avoiding working different shifts.

I'm looking forward to making my former DM does some real work in OSLG - he needs to be knocked down a peg or two.
