Got an email from the VP and it would appear there is a package in the works for FE. Is this going to be corporate wide or select BUsiness Units? I assume Wheatstone and Gorgon will lose a lot of people. Also interesting was the statement that certain PSG would be targeted? Any news?

"no one is your friend in these times" --- how very true, after all it's either your $200K/yr job or theirs. Men resort to "cannibalism" in such times.
Suspect that it will be BU and not Corp wide. We went through the ROM exercise last year and it was left up to each business unit to provide the numbers they were going to cut. If you are now fortunate enough to be in a BU with approved projects and budgeted then you can rest a little better than those on projects which are winding down. With that said I can assure you that if you have a 2- or 3 in the last 3-4 years you are toast. If the numbers are not met then a 2 does not guarantee you a pass either. If they don't get the numbers with the 2- & 3 s then they start looking at the 2s. The 2s then compete against the 2+ & 3s. If it is a even across the board you then get into politics i.e. People (PDR) who know you ( networking) how well or creative your Supv writes up your performance summary.
Not everyone will accept the severance package. Many will face the hard cut. Remember, no one is your friend in these times. Industry hiring is almost nonexistent, so be careful what you say and do. You make your best decision and keep your fingers crossed.
22 and higher....
We have too many FE's on the payroll right now. Keep the smarter and more efficient Facility Engineers and layoff the useless ones (not necessarily the older FE's).
Yes, i received the same thing. I made some calls and it turns out PSG22 and higher will be affected, also it will pertain to all BU's.
