Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

Not walking the talk

So, some new VP's in Calgary decided their offices were not good enough and demanded new ones be built. Not all, but some. Way to keep things in perspective. These folks better not be complaining about Liberal MP's and their office renos.

Health and Wellness! Ha! Yes, there's a "policy," but it's not actually followed in practice. And safety is only a priority until it costs too much or embarrasses the wrong person.

I don't work at Conoco, never have but do know folks that do. I find it appalling that VPs aren't happy with their offices and are wanting renos while some contract staff are sitting in the BASEMENT at a long table. Does Conoco not have a health & wellness policy? Safety codes? I'm told there are lots of uninhabited cubicles on many floors. Perhaps these VPs should sit in the basement for awhile before they decide their offices are good enough.
