This was avoidable for me!

Got laid off!

I'm a NS ASM who was supposed to get a package Fri. only for it to be cancelled Friday.

I have my mtg. tomorrow with the SM; so that's good. At least I'll know for sure what's going on.

The problem is I've only been there for 1.5 months. That won't be much of a severance!

My thought is that they KNEW this was the plan; so WHY did they offer me a job that was going away so soon?!!?

I left a job as a GM making more money for a career with Lowe's; so I'm hoping they do a great severance or I might actually think about suing them.

This was avoidable for me!

Did termed asm get legal im mail? Or were the packets delivered to store?

A close friend of mine is an ASM Admin no letters or anything has been sent to him but this morning he went to work checked his tasks there was 14 of them ...few hours later he checks the tasks again and they are gone...another manager checks theirs and his are still there...that must be a sign...not one of wanted to see for my friend...this will be his second layoff....first one was 3 years ago different company.. damn it! He's worked his a-- off to get where he is...and with over 27 year's of retail management experience hes knows what he's doing! His store had the highest sales in 2016 than they have had in a long time....

That's crazy that they would have hires people a few months ago. And they have known for 1.5 years this was coming. So I'm sure they knew months ago this was coming.

It's a shame you left a good job to be in this situation... I think u might have a case.
