Thread regarding Capgemini layoffs

Capgemini India using dirty tactics to make people leave

They are giving forced rating of 4 meaning 0 hike and no bonus. Demoting and pushing employees to bad project. Using these tactics they wann employees to resign.

All this making CG India real bad company to work for.

That's true..It was never capgemini's culture. Also who is deciding who are underperformers? Biased Managers... Total disaster. There are people who are in Cap and non performaners yet getting increment every year and promotions.. who is favouring them? Their managers. Please first clean internal politics and then things will be sorted

Capgemini needs a real makeover on leadership and policies. Specially 360review is much needed to maintain quality resources. N+1s are misusing rating belcurve this has to be stopped. They can not give 4 rating just for their ego. Behaviour of I AM THE BOSS should be abolished.

It won't take much time to lose market value when you don't have quality resources.

Yes, it's very much true that Capgemini is forcing employees to leave the organization by giving them 4 or 5 rating though you have 100% utilization without any escalations from clients with good quality deliverables on time. It's no longer good place to work. If you are on bench then Bench Management team will threat you to get billable in a week or leave organization .

Whatever is mentioned in the post and replies stands true. Capgemini has lost it's charm and I would say that this happened well before iGate merger and the merger only made things worst for Capgemini employees.

There are managers within iGate (especially within internal infra management teams) who don't even understand what's going on within the project, but unfortunately they are still made the leaders.

Capgemini management was also not great in people management as in each and every project the performance ratings and promotions were politically influenced.

In short, Capgemini is not a good place to work, anymore....

Igate management especially from Banaglore need to understand CG way we work as one team and for CG progress not to satisfy ones own ego and self esteem. Hope they change else God save CG. Only the best Igate Mgrs who wants companies growth should be given projects to manage. I agree I have first hand exp erstwhile Igate treat their employees very badly . They are rubbing their baniya tactics to a multi national. koi to Kuch Karo bhai

The problem is with both the managements. The Capgemini management is so dumbfounded that when they finalize a policy they choose the worst among the policies of both the companies which goes completely against the employees. And there is ego playing at the top level in igate management that they are not willing to share any project related information with the Capgemini management, probably because they don't want to lose control to their counterpart in Capgemini. It's very true that many of the igate managers are inept in managing IT projects. Many of them seems not to be good at IT/Project management methodologies and are completely unaware of even the basics of the underlying technology in which the project is driven. There are employees who got to be managers by means of concecutive promotions every year without gaining proper experience at their respective levels, all the more reason why the revenue margins are either static or going downhill for the many of the igate projects. There needs to be a major restructuring of the igate teams at organizational level. Unless Capgemini management does something about it, the ship is definitely going to hit the iceberg and soon be finding it's way to the ocean floor.

Everything mentioned in above comments are true.. Igate manager treat employees like servants /slave, no sense how to behave in Meetings forcing Capgemini Employees to work weekends, while old Igate are used to? Majority staff of igate are Dumb /hard worker. 1 hour work they takes a Day..

Pathetic...
