Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

Close Bartlesville and transfers those that are performing!

Closing Bartlesville is necessary to end the death grip that a few have on the rest of us. A relatively small group of managers and their flunkies make the culture and life miserable to work and live in Bartlesville. Even off work if we do not conform, socialize, and acknowledge them as superior retribution can be expected at work. Shut Bartlesville down and offer transfers to those that are deserving and want to move!

Noooo , where else will we get our over entitled snobby elitists? We have no need for the creation of pretend ladders and pretend jobs just so they can continue the illusion that they are beautiful they are perfect they are special style environment that rich mommy and daddy created. Are you nuts their would be no pool of people to transfer and infiltrate our assests with enough entitlement to rule the world , who will put the rest of us down? Who will congregate together and create clicks creating nothing short of a cancer to eat through the accountability environment? Who? Who? Who is going to make a mockery of everything this business once stood for? Quit being irresponsible original poster think of the rest of us who would not know our heads from our behinds with out our wine drenched spoiled brats telling us which direction is up.....

You are just worried that when Bartlesville employees are transferred to Houston a lot of slackers in Houston will get laid off! Pretty sure that those that are saying awful things about Bartlesville employees are the ones that are in jeopardy!

Bartlesville is a sh-- hole filled with mostly under-performers.

Absolutely! There isn't even one worth transferring! Shut down Bartlesville! Shut it down now!

If we limit the transfers for only those performing, than that will really keep the numbers low...maybe 1 or 2.

Hopefully when headquarters moves into EC4 we will be offered offices in EC4 or EC3. The only problem with this hope for us is that it won't happen for another year. Some of our managers either don't want to go or know they won't be asked to go so they are intent upon making life as hard as possible on the rest of us. Some appear bent on scorched earth leaving no one left in their group to go! Headquarters could help us by restraining local managers and setting some guidelines to aid in the process.

Upper management complains about this site because much of what is posted is true, and they can't stand the truth. They have created an organizational culture of favoritism and fear. Watch closely and you will see that COP leaders are seriously lacking when it comes to integrity. SPIRIT values my a--!

I overheard a VP complaining about this site. So they all read it (upper management). So when you see the s--- up, smart azz comments, got to wonder if they are posting them.

These threads remind me of high school. Immature, insecure, and overly-sensitive hyper-hormonal children.

Yes that is a fact. People in Bartlesville do not think.

Is that a fact? You must have the all encompassing knowledge of a wizard to know how 'Bartlesville or companies located there think. People think, things don't.

Pointing out the obvious issues with Bartlesville is not an indication of a like or a dislike for Bartlesville. Bartlesville as a whole and the companies located in Bartlesville do in fact have a very small view of the world.

BV hater if your work and personal life are so bad and you actually work there. You can make a change in your life by moving on. Life is too short to be as miserable as you seem to be.

The issue is performance measurement. The situation is in fact better in the larger cities including Houston as you have alternate opportunities. Typically Bartlesville is focused on family and Houston is focused on work so if you are not focused on family the better option is Houston.
