It should be about the same as last year. I'll start looking for another job after the vcip also. If your going to jump ship make sure you do it before June so they don't screw you on your vacation. Mangement needs to be gutted

Not sure it is worth it but I am trying to hold off taking an offer elsewhere until Vcip gets paid out. I would sure like to bank that little bit before jumping. Denver is expensive compared to Htown.
I know two of the guys who resigned and they were pretty good geo's. At some point there is just too much work to cover for those of us left behind and I don't want to stay in a sweat shop. If that is what Lhr6tNR meant by Dismal. My phone rang twice with recruiter calls yesterday.
VCIP will happen, but not because anyone in leadership cares about retaining anybody at all. VCIP will be paid out because it is a HUGE portion of executive compensation and they aren't going to screw themselves out of their "hard earned" dollars. Simple truth. Enjoy what you get. Spend it. Save it. Whatever. Just don't believe it's being done for retention.
I'll echo Lhr6tNR-1bny. Experiencing the same with a regular stream of recruiters contacting me.
I've already seen 3 friends resign from CoP over the holidays and this month. We all started about the same time a few years ago. These are good staff who would have survived any layoff round that might be coming. A couple more are thinking of leaving and are out interviewing right now. I'm not worried that CoP would sink as a company, just that it becomes such a dismal place to work that I won't want to be here any longer. I'll wait to see what vcip brings. For now, my phone keeps ringing from friends now at other companies trying to get me to move.
Ohhhhh 1boy your soon to be in the unemployment line. Amyone who has COP on their resume might as well put unemployable on their resume. Wake up to bankrupt.
Listen to this clown. Bonus is still being employed. No friend. For a certain portion of conoco's labor force, that can easily find employment elsewhere because of education and experience, the vcip and other benefits like 401k matches and pensions are the bonuses that keep the skilled workers from leaving. For others, like yourself, whom have no options it is a bonus.
Your "bonus" is still having employment.
Depends on org you fall in we were told we are most likely getting one but we don't fall in the same org as everyone else
You don't get one.
