You usually cannot afford the Cobra insurance unless you are working fantastic job and if you are working you don't need it. Other health insurance is horrendously high now too because that was the plan for the last 8 years - wake up !!! Get a job out of the oilfield, stay healthy and live
You should have enough retirement to be able to afford insurance. As long as you don't need to use it!
