Has anyone else noticed the increase in police-state tactics being implemented? Spyware on your pc. Logging of printer use? What's next? If you exceed your bathroom time allotment for a day you're met by an HR goon and hauled away? Are we going to be chained to our desks? Security cameras in offices? WTF?

Truth. "Um, yeah, I'm gonna need your fingerprints, a retinal scan, and just a little swab from inside your cheeks. Don't worry, your privacy is safe with us."
Found the conspiracy theorist...
Is it also true that they use Facilities' security officers to flash their vehicle lights at folks in the Westside parking lot and the East side parking lot that are leaving in the late afternoon (not late enough I guess)? Is it true that they turn off the ez tag readers on the gate arms at EC3 and Complex so folks have to scan their work badges to enter work at certain times of the morning? Is it true that they use security officers to patrol the floors to see who's still at work at 4 pm? Is it also true that they use maids to hang around at odd times to spy on folks whereabouts? Is it true that they use employees within or outside of employees' own departments to spy on the comings and goings of employees? Is it true that they also do this to retaliate against employees that they want to run off? Can any of this really be true? They tell you that they monitor phones, computers, and they can track whereever we go (complex, back and forth to EC3/complex) due to phones, and access badges. So if any of the above is true, what's the point?
"The only ones who worry about that stuff are the ones up to no good."
No, cameras at airports and banks don't bother me. But we also don't have the level of risk they do. This progressive invasion of privacy is such a slow, continuous process that many people probably feel how you do. Myself, I find it sickening and offensive. Say nothing, but just don't be surprised when the the next thing they're wanting is random stool samples, blood draws, and all your personal health information. It's out of control, and for people older than 25 it's not normal or acceptable.
Do you also worry about the cameras and security at the bank or airport? The only ones who worry about that stuff are the ones who are up to no good.

Land of the free and home of the brave ... not
Every response starts with my coworker is lazy, slacking off or deserves what is coming - a disgusting (manipulated) culture defined by those who only want to stay for the US $.
Engineering is always busy. I have watched you f__kers in support services continuously online shop and Facebook as though it is your right and part of your job! Printer tied up printing photos and handouts for personal projects anc events! I know they have tried for years to get this curbed so now is a great time to set the standard! If you get caught you're gone no explanation needed!
In 2006 when I was working for Chevron in the new Enron building we couldn't get cell coverage because the building was so tall. In order for the cell companies to get a transmitter on the building and to get access to that transmitter we had to sign off that Chevron could monitor our calls and data.
Maybe it helps identify those who aren't really working but are just shopping and things like that. A lot of companies monitor things to ensure a job is justified.
This is the start. Large scale reductions coming. Company is taking steps to protect information. Any excessive or sudden increase in copying of files or correspondence is being monitored.
Agree with that! I understand some would say you agreed to it when you sign up, but enough already.
