Voluntary Layoff

If you are offered a voluntary layoff is the package usually better than an involuntary layoff? And can you still collect unemployment?

You cannot request a package. I know...I tried. Yes, you can collect unemployment.

Don't know your situation but you could take an LOA. (Leave of Absence)

No such thing as a voluntary layoff; it's called a resignation! If you are employed at HO it's at will employment !
