Thread regarding Education Management Corporation layoffs

Do the right thing

If you were an incoming student or a continuing student would you want accurate information about GE to to make your best decsison? The reality is that no one can predict the future so as the law stands today these programs will lose title IV funding unless a miracle happens next year. The alternative to Title IV funding is private loans. Most for profit students do not qualify for private loans. Why is your leadership telling you not to disclose this information? Are they gambling that they might be able to influence the feds to overturn this legislation maybe? That's pretty risky. Again treat others how you would like to be treated in the same situation which is full disclosure of the facts as they stand today.

They are betting everything on DeVos. If they hadn't been required to send out that email, they wouldn't have. The future of many departments is up in the air right now. Much will be revealed as registration begins in a couple weeks.
