Thursday seems like the day so supervisors can come by Friday and patch everything up
They do Thursdays here because they like to take Fridays off.
This is my third corporate buyout of a company I have been employed at. The pattern in the other two was first notify employees all is well and nothing is going to change. 2nd, is to notify employees that there will be restructuring to increase sale or increase efficiency but do not be concerned your employment or department is still needed. 3rd, is to have HR appear and have sweeping layoffs and thank you and extend hope in all your future endeavours.
I think we are at the 2nd stage.
