So true. These Q folks are paid well. A lot of companies in bay area don't even pay that much.
Not sure why the VP and directors are excessively paid at Qualcomm, when their role is more of a title than their actual functions and responsibility.
Looks like a lot of cleanup due at Qualcomm apart from culture and management fixes... Even pay scales need to be re-evaluated.
Why are QC engineers paid so much? in other industries they top out at 85 k, with degrees from the most competitive private schools. We hired a project manager from QC, he was making 168 k with a EE degree from long beach, walk in the door with a pulse, state??? He was laid off so we hired him, pay him 65 k and he is still with us after 2 years, though he is slow as hell...you are are doing very well if you are making the money you say you are making.
