Major layoffs today, ~160 FTF downsized to adjunct as of 2/17 with no warning. Why do you people still work for such a venomous company?
Big meetings scheduled for Full-Time Faculty (FTF) today, Thursday, February 9th. Email was sent out 2 days ago and contained no agenda (very vague). Managers will have a meeting at 9 am and then there are three groups of FTF who have meetings. One group is large with around 160 FTF, there is a group with 60 FTF, and then a smaller group who is currently working on non- teaching project with only 12 faculty.
It's all about profits, profits, profits- they are private equity owners, not private benefactors...sorry..
Whoever last week predicted layoffs this Thursday/Friday knew what he or she was talking about. Big meetings scheduled for tomorrow. Most likely layoffs.
What have you heard about healthcare and nursing...any layoffs?
Have not heard anything but the track record is there. I wonder what the internal structure will look like from student inquiry to graduation and how many enrollment personnel will be needed
Now, more than ever- it's ALL about budgets and money- how quick and how much can they make...if you think that YOU matter or your previous work matters- guess again..
I do not know when or what departments but Apollo Global track record is to cut , reorganize and then sell for a profit and move on. Nothing wrong with that. The track record is there and it is what it is.
Why next week? I haven't heard that from anyone aside from you. Not calling you a liar, but do you have this from a credible source?
Why, end of the paid period?
Next week. Thursday/Friday. Get ready. Layoffs.
thank you for replying , other departments let's hear from you
Dont know about the QC. ADG was helping them, but our time ended yesterday. Havent heard any reports from Kris Jackson yet.
