H1b is abuse, companies, Q included, target mid level domestic engineers. They isolate them and roadblock them so they can PIP them or lay them off, then they hire an H1b in their place at a lower job title level.
It's SOP and everyone knows it and tolerates it because the tech companies bought the Democratic party.
But they can't buy Trump with donations, buying books by the bushel, etc...
So right now Q is thinking they will just move it all to where the cheap labor is, but they don't understand Trump at all, he will win in this battle of it means Q dies and a US company steps in to make phone chips.

Not sure wtf is "abuse". They have well written standards for expected salaries as per zip code. USCIS would not even approve if employers are giving salaries below those standard. So I guess it was just you being stupid who took that job. OR may be you didnt have any other option and went for it and now talking BS.
This we be good for engineers, and terrible news for shareholders and wealthy elite management with lots of stock options.
I am on h1b and on Amazon's payroll. I have seen this first hand, my first employer filed my h1b and abused me and the system for 6 months . I realized I was paid less than what I deserved or even worked for. I moved to a better organization that pays me well above the suggested threshold. I am not sure if this will get all Americans a job but I am sure it will help curb the worldwide abuse of h1b program by so called body shop organizations
