Thread regarding Mattel Inc. layoffs

What about the head guy?

He ousted the CEO for bad results after sitting, sitting, sitting on the board for many, many years. Why isn't the board ousting him? What has he done to turn things around? Hire consultants and recruiters. He installed the management team. He should go on his own...he had all the answers for the press when he ousted the CEO, what happened? Thought he had the answers?

you jokers are kidding no one but yourselves. pops will be kept around for at least another year in an advisory role pulling in at least an easy mil just like BS. don't stare up at the gleaming golden parachute as it falls from the sky or you'll surely go blind.

During his tenure as interim CEO he proved he knows nothing about the business. People like him on the Board are Albatrosses for Mattel.

When he left the CEO position hat should have been the last time he had any control over this company. He, and most of the rest of his cronies on the Board, need to be replaced.

The New CEO should take a very hard look at every hire this man made, and make corrections as necessary. Pronto.

The old guy was on the board already, he may just be going back to being on the board.

We need an activist to come in and clean house. No accountability. Inept leaders, too many high paid relics, bloated teams in Finance, Marketing and Content, no technology, too many locations, bad hires in key roles.

And we don't even wonder why anymore why things s---. There are more people giving orders than the people getting the orders.

You wanna do something ask your boss so she can ask her boss and then her boss and so on and on. And when s#|+ goes bad they blame the sap at the bottom. Pathetic how each exec has control issues. The more you try the less you can control it you dumbutts.

Good question. if he had any pride or dignity left in him he should take responsibility and leave. not install himself in another position above the new CEO. this is the opposite of getting a patient better. you don't bring in new anti-bodies and then try to keep the old virus around just for kicks. you need to remove the causes of the symptoms. unfortunately the company likes to hold on the germs and instead cut off a few legs and arms before another race. will you ever learn?
