We had a great thread going with "Exxon ceo - secretary of state!" And lo and behold, it is gone! All the 200+ posts. What a brutal censorship! A layoff board does not have to be talking about layoff all the time. The current and future political scenarios, global developments affecting the industry.. They are all important. Very petty and narrow minded censorship!

That thread had gotten way out of hand. Good riddance.
I would like to see this discussion board filled with more helpful and constructive topics and commentary. This should be a place for topics that can be of help to ex-Chevron employees to find work, cope with change, help answer questions on retirement, or simply to share one's experience. If only each reader could realize the importance of what they could leave here for others or take for themselves from this medium, the site would be fulfilling its real purpose. The moderators of this site are attempting the best they can to maintain that purpose. It's unfortunate that the onslaught of inappropriate posts and misuse of this informative website, that it may soon become irrelevant to many contributors who would like it to be a positive place to visit.
Not surprised, the thread was full of foul language and personal insults. Btw, if you read the site rules carefully (somewhere at the bottom of the page), it states somewhere that politics is not allowed at all, so I guess they have been tolerant enough to allow the thread at all.
Must be some pro-Trump board staffer. They wouldn't have liked all those liberal leaning, albeit rational, posts.
The censors use the same criteria on this website that Chevron uses in its PC and affirmative actions in the workplace.
