Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

Enrollment must fire reps.

Enrollment managers are being told to fire staff so they dont pay severance or tuition benefits. If your only making 3 to 4 Regs per month chances are you will get a write up or terminated. They are pushing reps to do the unethical and make the quota but then they will turn around and fire you for being unethical. Company should burn to the ground. I called the FTC and DOE. F()€K them.

If they want you gone, you are gone...they will find the smallest thing you missed the mark on. The managers are saving themselves. Fools....if you fire all your staff, who will you manage? Dirty deeds, done dirt cheap. It must be so hard to be there right now.

As a former UoP ER, I can tell you all that in my last 3 months before leaving UoP for a much more secure position with a growing company, I had 15, 14,

(ii) University of Phoenix fiscal year-to-date new degreed enrollments as of the applicable month end must not have declined by more than certain levels (which are derived from the projections we prepared in December 2015 in connection with the merger, which we refer to as the December 2015

forecast);

(iii) University of Phoenix trailing twelve month net revenue as of the applicable month end shall not have declined by more than certain levels (which are derived from the December 2015 forecast); and

(iv) Our consolidated trailing twelve month adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization as of the applicable month end shall not have declined by more than certain levels (which are derived from the December 2015 forecast). The Merger Agreement may be terminated by each of us and Queso under certain circumstances, including if the merger is not consummated by 5:00 pm

Eastern time on February 1, 2017. Upon termination of the Merger Agreement under certain specified circumstances, but not including a termination solely due to our failure to satisfy the minimum operating metrics described above, we will be required to pay Queso a termination fee of approximately $27.5 million, and under other specified circumstances, Queso will be required to pay us a reverse termination fee of $25.0 million."

You dummies - your leadership is already planning for declines - and are just hoping that the decline is not so steep that it jeopardizes their executive payouts if they pull off this heist - or if if falls through on 2/1/2017, YOU take that 27m dollar hit - who do you think is gonna pay!?!? ENROLLMENT - all of you are getting laid off to pay that money!!!

Wake up... stop b--ching at each over over who is right & who is wrong about job requirements and enrollment and getting REGs... this thing is bigger than you!! The only reason I decided to post this is because I still have friends there (who are not crying like you people in this post) - but the read these posts - and I hope they get the message and save themselves. Many have... there are a few left... but for all of you, I truly wish you luck - just don't be misguided by silliness and stupidity - read for yourselves!

Leadership is instructing Mgrs to make hostile environment to fire or force people to quit. Theres no other way to explain what we are being asked to do to reps. We are monitoring how many times you get up from your desk. How many times you get your phone. Potty breaks and every thing that keeps you from Reging.

Are Enrollment Managers being told to give Enrollment Advisor's a hard time in one on one's and to try to find a reason/s to fire them? I get that impression ! It is very obvious to me. My manager was giving me a hard time for the little sh-- on my one on one's.
