Everyone knows what happened to Kodak. If you don't: sfter a slow, steady decline in operations the company filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy in January 2012.

Time will tell. Maybe there is something in the works that hasn't been announced, maybe big brother Halliburton is just milking Sperry for all it can and will let it drop down to the second tier of providers, maybe Halliburton is looking to split it off as a JV so they can still tender a 'complete' product package. It's hard to say anything with certainty in this market. Time will tell though if you can stick around for a few years.

Sperry is an outdated company, with obsolete technology and old set of hands to run this technology. No growth or innovation, top heavy with loads of managers and directionless employees who are just interested in their bonus and nothing else. Glad I quit Sperry, to save my ojlfield career.
