Thread regarding Aetna Inc. layoffs

Layoffs don't affect fat cats

Aetna eliminates hundreds of people yet the CEO brags to employees about his home on NYC's Upper West Side and his Ducati. Other executives have six million dollar homes in Greenwich, going sailing on Long Island Sound, or have basketball courts in their sub-basements.

If they made the choices that led to poor performance for the company, they should pay the price, not the little guys. Yet Bertollini gets a pay raise every year. Why?

If it's any consolation, these people are simply employees of the company, they work for us the investors. When they stop delivering, they get fired, although they do get huge sums of money, they may not have a job after that, unless of course they have friends that will hire them in executive jobs. But if they've ruined the company that they were released from, chances are they will to the same in their new home. Sound familiar?
