With the idiot executive who ran the distribution centers, nothing comes as a surprise. What a waste of money the over budget dc in Utah was.
Then they put this same fool in charge of IT, what a tool he is.
I can't believe there are people surprised by this. The kool aid Must be been more potent than I realized. I worked in a distribution center where the managerial stupidity was a daily punchline. Shipping inventory to stores that had a DC or even beyond. When we pointed this out to management they actually dismissed it with the excuse that it was cheaper to ship east instead of west. Seroiusly! I have never seen a company more hell bent on wasting money and time. And what did the workers get in return? Hours and benefits cut so that the execs could still get a bonus. It went on for years and if you were an employee who ignored the obvious and believed your managers then shame on you as well as them.
