Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Sears apparently is destroying the village in order to save it

Vietnam War

A famous quote from the Vietnam War was a statement attributed to an unnamed U.S. officer by AP correspondent Peter Arnett in his writing about Bến Tre city on 7 February 1968:

'It became necessary to destroy the town to save it', a United States major said today.

We're going to grow...by shrinking

War is peace and freedom is slavery

It's tiring to hear about the wonderful "transformation" when all you have to do it truly think about what Eddie and co are saying.

We will focus resources on operating our top stores- no longer belong to sears

We will leverage our partnership with the REIT- Seritage has stated multiple times it is working on getting sears out of those properties

Strength in our brands- They have been on the market for months with no movement whatsoever

If you are in still in a store think about this. Why is all senior management leaving???? The people that know the movements of the company don't stick around that should tell you enough

They are not trying to rebuild anything. They are just trying to hold on until June 2017 so that the REIT properties are free and clear of any encumbrances

The big question is what is going to be left over to save? People keep saying this but fail to realize the top properties no longer belong to Sears... what you have left is the properties that haven't been profitable in dying malls... is this truly what the company is tying to rebuild?
