Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

Why doesn't Bartlesville sell Bartlesville. They are all useless freeloaders anyway. That should free up enough money for a while.

I don't work for the company, but am familiar with COP, Bartlesville, and Houston. I think it's hilarious that some on here believe that moving out of Bartlesville will be some kind of silver bullet solution. It won't be. The work still needs to be done and unless you outsource, there aren't many cheaper locations than Bartlesville. Outsource then you say? You think the quality of work is bad now? Just wait until you need to work an issue with someone in a third world country and different time zone on the other end of the line. I've been in that situation and it's unproductive for everyone involved. Good luck though. I hope it works out for COP.

Barttleville Houston who cares! You are all a bunch of snot nosed no it Alls. You look down you nose at everyone. Guess what you don't know everything nor are you as smart as you think. You think just because you lips are moving that everyone is listening. News flash nobody cares you all s---! Take things back to the field level and let the people who know what's actually going on run things. I bet half of you have never even stepped into a gas or oil field or have any idea how anything works. For hell sakes nobody is that important. We all are nothing more than a number and can be replaced at anytime.

With P66 moving out of the corridor, there is a lot of room available.

My real estate friend said their company had four different high level people start unofficially looking at houses in the west Houston area in the last couple of weeks. All four are from Bartlesville and work for COP. Do they know something we don't?

You need to get some help with yourBartlesville fixation. It's obvious that you post on everybodies comments. Is it your lack of mental capacity or are you lacking in another area?

Bullsh-t! Independent centralize to minimize staff and duplicate positions. Decisions are made and implemented quicker In centralized companies. Previous misinformation was just another Bartlesville lover trying to justify their miserable existence.

Some of the best performing companies in the US have historically been very decentralized. The less people at the 'top' the better off we should be because the bright light of accountability cannot be avoided or passed off to a 'team'.

The Bartlesville hate GUY is just a troll monger - he puts this garbage out here all the time. I bet it just chaps his a$$ that Bartlesville is here and doing just fine. I doubt it will ever happen. Now what could happen that would be cost effective would be moving headquarters to somewhere less expensive.

I don't know who posted this but they are on the right track. I think we are starting to smell blood. Closing Bartlesville is coming soon! No one knows how they're going close Bartlesville but it should be interesting to watch! Will they transfer half and lay the other half off? This has been done at large offices in the past.

Office staff provide little to no value...

Conoco's money is the well!

We don't need 15,000 engineers to over analyse everything.

We don't need 1,000 planner schedulers. The groups admin should be more than qualified.

We don't need 800+ computer techs to play on FB all day.

We do need people in the field actually earning money; selling oil&gas.

Close Houston office complex and transfer everyone to B-vile without moving / transfer benefits or severance should you choose not to move! If you want your office job, it would in B-vile! A bunch would not move! That would make nearly everyone miserable!

Why are you retards so obsessed with Bartlesville? Are you so stupid to think that moving those jobs will save yours? Visiting this site is a testament to just how inadequate our staff is. Nothing but retard low-performers b--ching and complaining. We probably SHOULD consolidate to one location, but that won't do jack to change the direction of the company.
