So the news is that Tewkesbury is to close in the first quarter '17 so it will be a fxxxxx up Xmas for all the staff. Overloaded with duff Halliburton systems and ineffective micro management from Houston and locally this previous impressive location has been shafted for many years. Well done Halliburton, your strange decisions are becoming a joke.

To answer 'anon' it is well known that nobody certainly no managers in Halliburton can keep a secret. Add that to the fact that all Halliburton managers take on their best mates and will always play the 'don't tell anyone but xxx' card then information that circulates quickly round the world always has a semblance of truth. If it is not fully decided it will be under discussion. If worried staff should confront their managers and will be able to tell by the response what is happening.
To all you mercenarys out there read the post by singapore sam and the defence he uses to defend his rumour spreading, this is what you are supporting while undermining the hard working people in the west who you are selling out by continuing to prop up a low skill low wage operation i hope that some of you lose your job when the work is shifted to singapore just because its cheaper.

The 'Tewksday' quip was not by me (SingaporeSam). My original messages were to show genuine concern for Tewkesbury who have supported Operations and the other R & M centres so well. This site should be for genuine discussion and not flippancy. Yes we in Singapore may gain from Tewkesburies demise but that does not make it right.

Also would you have a good Christmas with this hanging over you. News on this site have a good record of being accurate - Tewks and/or Canada are at great risk everyone knows this. Please be more polite and people may listen to you.
Hey SingaporeSam.....would you care to prove this with verified evidence? Or are you just a disgruntled employee who has nothing better to do with your time than to post bull$hit rumours on this site? And how can you say it will be a screwed up Christmas when the closure is to happen in the 1st quarter 2017? Christmas will be over and done with, and as the supposed closure is after that, the staff will still be paid over said festive period, so no reason to be a cr@p one! Also, given the fact that even though most employees would rather be in their job, I really don't think anybody really cares anymore if they shut Tewksbury down. So, if you really want to help your fellow employees and put them out of their misery in waiting for the real facts about whether Tewkesbury is closing or not, how about having the guts to stand up in front of the staff there, and present your evidence. If you can't do that, and would rather be like the other trolls on this site, please go back to s---ing you dads d!ck, and getting butt f**cked by your pet dog.
