Wow, has Netapp gone south in the last 3 years.

Use partners for everything= bad customer experience consistently.

Had internal team that cleaned up all issues with the above= LAID TEAM OFF.

Return to bad customer SAT= lose repeat business, lose customers, Lay off more people = BAD BUSINESS, POOR MANAGEMENT.

IMHO, I do not think ALL e-series will go away, it might get sold off to another entity. For one thing there is a huge install base out in the field that will still have to be supported for many years to come AND there is still a market for spinning disk arrays out there for data for archival, for customers who aren't willing to pay for flash, AND for customers who lay in bed at night worrying about their datagetting hacked in the cloud and therefore aren't willing to let it outside their firewall...

From my viewpoint other equipment manufacturers are getting hammered as well. It took us 2 years to complete a recent data migration due to one of ntap's large competitors dragging their feet and then another competitor we deal with consistently drops the ball on projects not because they're inept but because their plate is full AND overflowing. NetApp is not alone!

Re: http://www.bizjournals.com/sanjose/news/2016/11/04/why-is-netapp-is-announcing-a-new-round-of-layoffs.html. Anyone that knows for certain is NDA so don't bother asking. If they aren't NDA they can h o n e s t l y say no more layoffs. Its how the Corporate Kool-Aid factory works. You have to rely on your own instincts and judgement. But this is true no matter where you go. This is not just a NetApp thing.
