In Wichita, 25% or so of HSG have been let go. A team of 20 is now down to about 12, but didn't lose the manager. Other teams have lost 50% of their contributors and their manager. Boulder appears to be gone...by 9am the IM and email conversations were dead.

WIchita facility has been close to shutting down ~3 or 4 times with NCR and LSI. NetApp appears to be the next company on the horizon. We've always been the 2nd thought except when we were Symbios. But those days are gone. 'm surprised that we've lasted this long.
It's fu$&$& funny and depressing. SF a linux machine is more agile than Eseries. Don't think ontap will survive anoth 3 to 4 years.....basically NetApp doesn't have a decent market value anymore. We are paying for this. Let's get a real job!
There is no incentive to sell e-series that is equivalent to the other products. They don't want to sell it, and they don't want to invest in it. HSG has been s---ing hind tit for a couple of years now, and their leadership is weak. The best thing that could happen to the ICT location is to be sold off to a company that would clean house. If it stays in netapp it will be shutdown within a year or two.
NetApp Wichita got hit hard because E-Series products is not growing in sales compared to SolidFire and Ontap based products. We will see the latest financial numbers in two weeks.
