Schlumberger HQ announced 25% headcount reduction in the next 2-3 quarters, with half of it to be done before year end. As we see literally no "fat" to cut, this initiative will hurt the company in a long run. Time to buy Schlumberger employees as the loyalty has been trashed

Of course it's false and scare-mongering: it's obvious from the 'no fat to cut' comment. There's still plenty of fat in SLB.

it's true, came out of a managers ROFO meeting (Houston) just yesterday discussion of this topic. Wish I could shed more detail. but now they are targeting segment VP and consolidation from it including "regular" people

They don't usually announce these things do they. They just do it so i can only assume this posting is false and scaremongering. If you have any proof please show it otherwise go find a job in weatherford.
