Thread regarding NetApp layoffs

All those who are impacted

Guys, can feel the pain all who are impacted having. I myself got impacted in march this year.

Thing which helped me to get another job are

  1. Get in touch with old friends. They can circulate your resume to there contacts.

  2. Watch videos on facing interview

  3. Maintain your officr schedule at home.

  4. Now your job for 8 hours daily will be to find new job.

jUST my 2 cents

Good luck guys. This is not end of world for you. Its a new opening for good.

I was "impacted" in march 2016, my suggestion is do not take it personally, you are not alone. Its just the unfortunate way our industry has fallen too. I have never looked back and really the layoff was doing me a favor as I stuck it was the nudge I needed to find a much better job. My wife was actually happy for me as she no longer had to here me complain about my company. All the best!

Yup and hopefully all those impacted received a generous severance package. Look into government sponsored retraining. Contact novaworks for those impacted in Sunnyvale. I went through it and there is life after netapp. Good luck

Excellent advice. All that and DON'T WAIT! 60 days go by awfully fast, and after Thanksgiving is dead for hiring. Take a deep breath today, Polish your resume over the weekend and hit the "streets" on Monday. All the best!
