Another great day for netapp morale

In Wichita, 25% or so of HSG have been let go. A team of 20 is now down to about 12, but didn't lose the manager. Other teams have lost 50% of their contributors and their manager. Boulder appears to be gone...by 9am the IM and email conversations were dead.
Make sure to leave out personal info, site rules, otherwise web admins will nuke the whole thread.
Moral has been horrible for a couple of years. The culture has taken a major hit, they are turning this place into IBM/Oracle/Cisco. Layoff's the norm, time to move on. I'm sure that George will tell everyone that everything is alright in the next all hands. Don't believe it, transformation is not about good change
Can someone post the email in this thread?
At least you folks in the US know and can move on... We in EMEA we might have to wait weeks depending on countries regulations affecting all employees morale
My boss said it was 6 to 7% so could be more than 600. In EMEA we have to wait a few weeks to hear who was hit unfortunately. Awful unnecessary disruption to the run the business and a general sh--ty atmosphere of uncertainty and anger. Having this twice a year S---S!!
Looks like everyone left in Boulder is impacted. Cut in Wichita very, very deep
Any idea how many got impacted in Wichita and boulder
It happened to me in RTP. Out looking for something new now!
I heard from one that was impacted that it is the two months pay, but no additional severance.
the Boulder and Wichita sites were hit hard this time.

What is the package they are giving?
I laugh at how K* said that there wouldn't be further layoffs in March.
REALLY glad to have left this joke of a company.
Well, we can see who is NOT affected by the latest cuts. Go drink your kool-aid and leave us alone.
Don't be foolish, obviously you should be cut. Tom G hosed the company, I speak channel leadership daily and this is the outlook within the industry. They see George as a hero unfortunately you're a zero.
LOL Kurian making the right moves. He is clueless and will drive the company off the cliff
@KbQCt3M-ygi rumor here is it is you guys...
Impacted or not, it's easy to see George is making the right moves. Hopefully I'll be part of its future, if not there's plenty of jobs out there.
BOD need to make a business decision and fire Kurian. He has no clue how to increase top line revenue Why is this guy continuing to be allowed to learn on the job and destroy the company? If not plan on being back on this site next spring or summer for a replay of this ongoing horror show
Yeah... That makes me feel a WHOLE lot better. Doesn't make a damn how you phrase it. It's personal to every single one of us that doesn't have a golden parachute.
Agreed they are business decisions but than why the hell companies say ...this is our second home and work like you are working for your own company.
No offence just to be on lighter note
Now now....no need to get personal. These are business decisions.
@ntf - All managers have been given "The list". You can call and speak to them now, I'd wager. Good luck.
What a vicious POS Kurian is. Ntap s---s
Feeling a bit frozen waiting to see if I'll be cut and sent to the bread line. I hope it all happens today and not dragged out thru tomorrow. That would seem just cruel.
It has started in earnest in RTP. The RTP site was hit hard last time, we are hoping for some mercy this time around.
What's the breakup across sites? Any info on this?
Sadly this is happening again... Hang in there folks...
10,700 employees.
6% is 642 to be exact.
Around 600
How many is 6%?
