They laid off the entire freebsd kernel team in Waltham. Kernel support will now be happening in RTP under the auspices of the performance group. For some reason, it makes sense to someone that Waltham should not be doing Ontap development.

receptionists Not impacted. Only possibility is with the selling of bldgs there will be less need for receptionists ( less bldgs = less receptionists)
Do any of you know if receptionists are affected? We r hired by an agency so technically not employed by Netapp. Can anyone help on this?
A couple channel sales people got "transformed" probably 8-10 of them I know of got impacted
Based on what I've seen, 25% or so in Wichita - HSG. Boulder appears to be gone...IM and email is silent.

Yes FSEs are impacted in Germany. Now and last one.
Are you sure about sam and fse ? Fse were already hit in the last RIF
It seems that the SAM and FSE Departments are reduced
a senior technical director and a few senior engineers that i know were impacted.
i am seeing hits to support - legal, marketing, finance, operations, etc
In my department I've seen a senior engineer and a student contractor terminated.
