Thread regarding NetApp layoffs

Merge ontap and spinOS

I started in 2004, and it was a very different place. Then the brain trust decided to merge ontap and spinOS. That killed NetApp. So many bad effects came from that move. Sigh. I'm leaving anyway, so I would love a layoff. Too bad too, because my manager and his VP are great, really great.

Wow a serious kool aid drinker. Cdot is and always has been the problem. Too complicated and bug ridden. So much for superior

No CDOT is superior to 7MODE. The problem is old-timer folks who couldn't adapt and were caught up their old school ways. Thankfully many of them are fired now.

A product is only as successful as the people backing it. Younger people bring innovation and older people cause a tech company to slowly bleed to death.

They should have kept GX as a separate line. Certain companies loved the os. Forcing everyone over to Clustered ONTAP was the problem.
