They set up everyone for failure. No tools that work to do the job. You answer phone calls for everyone that doesn't show up, not even dealing with your own accounts. If they want to get rid of someone they just pile on the pressure. Teams have been re-coded so many times, every adviser inherits crap pies that are the fault of the previous adviser, but show up on the current adviser's review. Finance and academics not on same schedules (6 to 3 and 9 to 6) so they aren't available to work their team on same shifts. 3 managers in 18 months. Managers writing performance reviews that haven't even had the adviser on their team for 3 or 4 months. Reorganization and more reorganizations. Manager absent more than team members. Director doesn't even tell you when you manager calls in. Software programs that are a joke and SRM creates 300 tasks over night and some managers let advisers delete cases without notes when other managers require 'holistic' review of EACH case and require notes for any case deleted (NOTES=NOVEL)--which takes an hour to review on 5 different systems to see what has happened to the student's account before the present adviser inherited; review the notes from finance, academics, review accounting, file tickets with accounting and fin aid office, initiate IM's, reach out to each student every 30 to 45 days (whether they need it or not), file tickets for fin aid office to do the obvious. Count the hours in the day and count how long it takes to have CONSTRUCTIVE phone call with a student and figure out how many accounts you can touch in a day.....while you are taking phone calls and trying to conference in adviser from another department (finance, academics, enrollment) to address all the student's issues in one phone call. Talk to a student before they start classes to find out if they should start classes, if they are aware of everything they have signed up for. I had many students stop their start when they had a realistic conversation with me, when they were told the truth and thanked me for the reality. Truth tellers are out the door. Unrealistic expectations. Can't wait for the shutdown.

A reliable source told me that he was "RIFFED" because Gloor hated him and because he was black. Hmmm are there anymore black men/woman left in our leadership? Manager or Director or above? Just sayin'! Heard he was a stand up guy. Better get back to the phones...Verint is watching, vocado is failing and SRM ain't coming.
Shaka, when the walls fell.
Yes. In keeping with the UOP culture, those rated exceeds expectations are being laid off because the sr execs rated as needs improvement or complete overhaul are feeling more threatened everyday.
Uhmmm... it'a a layoff site... ha! I've heard a few rumors, nothing concrete. If it happens it happens. No need to stress about it so much. we get paid to work, for now, time to dial...
To "shut-up" What are you so afraid of - the truth? This is a LAYOFF site- get off the site if you want to bury your head in the sand.
