Yes, but Apollo Global is not UOPX's Apollo. It is a different firm altogether. That needs to be made clear. UOP's Apollo Global is (from the company website):

Apollo Global was formed to address the needs of the global marketplace by bridging the gap between supply and demand for quality education, and by preparing the workforce for the jobs the economy requires. Apollo Global leverages its size and influence to challenge the educational status quo in order to help students transform both their personal future and that of their communities through education.

Apollo Global Management, the firm in the article is this company:

Apollo Global Management, LLC and its subsidiaries ("Apollo") is a leading global alternative investment manager. We are contrarian, value-oriented investors in private equity, credit and real estate, with significant distressed expertise. We operate our businesses in an integrated manner which we believe distinguishes us from other alternative investment managers. We have applied this investment philosophy over our 26-year history, deploying capital across the balance sheet of industry leading businesses, and seeking to create value for our investors throughout economic cycles.

Camden- sounds like the bunch of UOPX/Apollo employees who went to Walden may soon be facing some changes/challenges?

@It is clear now, where does Laureate (LAUR) get the money to buy anything? They need to be selling off assets, not adding anything. The money Laureate got from private equity (including Apollo Global) was apparently for "breathing room" as they sell off schools.

@KYUjmn0-zlk, what proof do you have that Apollo Global will sell off their profitable departments to Laureate and close University of Phoenix?

Interesting, Apollo Global sells profitable department such as business, healthcare, and IT from Apollo Ed to Laureate Ed. Close University of Phoenix but keeps all international institutions of Apollo Ed. Very Smart
