Disappointing is right. In mid-2014, before things tanked, people were leaving Noble to go to work for private equity "start-ups". I remember thinking... these people will be laid-off on the first hint of a downturn. Things will be safer at Noble and they should be able to ride it out. WRONG! All the people who left to go start-ups are still working. And Noble turned out to be the biggest A-Holes in the industry. This company, and it's management team, was exposed for the pretenders they are. Nothing but talk...
Sr mgt cares about themselves, everybody else is replaceable or can be done away with regardless of their accomplishments at any point. Davidson kept the team on track and expected people to be treated with respect. Culture changed when he left and now it seems the company is hoping to come up with a strategy that might work but in the meantime, screw the employees. When the times were good they couldn't s--- up enough, now it's they can do almost whatever they want. Very disappointing but time will tell how these "winners" on 10 South will lead the company going forward.
When they get rid of over half of us that are still there, they might decide to change management.
A load of crap from a crap company. Why would expect anything different?
WOW, maybe we get us some more GAP training for a hundred million dollars or so! One thing's for sure -- Noble BOD does not have to worry that XOM will come around poaching NBL execs to replace Tillerson. Can you picture Stover, Fisher, Willingham, or Cunningham in an executive role at XOM? Except for those four narcissists, nobody else can, either.
I think Noble management is afraid that now things MIGHT be improving in the industry and they realize most people are looking to get out... find new jobs. So they will make comments about employee development and moral hoping everyone will stay. They could care less about most of us during the past two years... laying off thousands of people. People remember how they conducted themselves over the past two years. I for one will leave the first chance I can. I know many people who feel the same way.
?
Employee development? LOL. How did he say that with a straight face?
