I also agree. it was good of the company to provide a holiday get together, with a meal, and some gifts. I also understand that none of it had to be provided. It was also good that most managers allowed their direct reports to leave immediately after the lunch. This too did not have to be provided. I am grateful that the company did this for us, and I appreciate the individuals that worked on it.
The effort is very much appreciated! They don't have to do anything, so I for one appreciate that anything was done. If you don't like it don't attend. But then you would miss out on that free meal.
Should be thankful someone cared enough to try to do something nice for the holidays. The effort is appreciated!
I am Jewish. Screw your Christmas parties. Companies don't ever have Hanukkah parties.

Professional lazy butt complainer that didn't get laid off. Amazing is right.
Seriously? A bunch of people got laid off and you're complaining about the goddam X-mas party? Time to reevaluate your priorities.
There will be NO next year!
Maybe you should invite people who aren't part of your stupid clique to BE the committee and who can bring new ideas for planning it next year. We're all a little sick of the same idiots doing the same things then congratulating each other on being an amazing group of people
What do you expect with no budget? Should we have a huge expensive party? Maybe you should volunteer to be on the committee to help plan it next year.
