Working in Qualcomm from last 4 years and haven't heard anything remotely possible. If you are really bad performer you might get laid off but there aren't any 'Planned' layoff which this site is claiming.

It is 100% reliable... there will be layoffs in January aimed at Jon Detra's team
I work for SW Apps Multimedia in AQ (Staff). I know about our previous massive layoffs announced in Sep 2015 and executed in Nov 2015, March 2016 and June 2016. After that it is pretty stable and there are projects available to work. Don't know everyone is screaming of layoffs? I don't think there will be any apart from some really bad performers.
Don't really know what group or company you work for but last massive layoff happen last November and small under the radar layoffs continue, I am surprised to see a Staff SW engineer clueless about what's going on at QC, my suggestion is to leave your fantasy world and land to reality.
There aren't be any layoffs...exception (some dude not performing well and at same level from lat couple of years and expecting salary raise every year)
Just FYI, I am Staff SW engineer and I wrote this post. Haven't heard anything from fellow modem colleagues as well as my apps team about upcoming layoffs. Last layoff happened in June and at least in my team there aren't be any layoffs. There are multiple non-sense posts on this site.
Leave the cleaning guy alone, he loves night shift and taking the trash out....

Another fake posting, everybody, everybody across QUALCOMM knows about all layoffs, probably you are a security guard or janitor otherwise everybody knows....also is done under the table and not publicly disclosed.
