Keep living in you little bubble of american exceptionalism. Europe and Asia innovates as much as the US. Yes, the US has some flagship like Nasa, but ESA is catching up and currently if you want to reach the ISS you have to do it with either European or Russian rockets because the US doesn't have anything. Cars, everyone would rather drive a BMW, Porsche, Mercedes, Audi, Ferrari, Lamborghini.... yes, now there is Tesla, and the CEO is South African. Medical science... irrelevant, considering that research is done all over the places, with Germany, France, and Italy being the leading ones for affordability of exceptional medical care. Stop watching Fox news and start learning how the world works.

LOL. You may have forgotten that Americans pretty much invented the modern oilfield. Americans are the most innovative people in the world. Where do you think most of the new, transformative health/tech/businesses/etc. come from? They come from the USA. Take a look at the French and European country's economies. That's not a model that SLB should aspire to.
Make SLB French again, sign a petition to get rid of all the obese rednecks and start hiring good engineers from Europe again. That will save a ton of money with the insurance considering that Americans cost a fortune in BP meds, cholesterol meds, and sick leave.

Sure cutting the H1B will send home about one million people, but then also remove the 8 millions of american infesting the rest of the planet, including all the militaries. Still, if Joe the O&G pseudo-engineer got shafted is because Bob the smart guy is enjoying his all inclusive vacation abroad. So STFU looking at the visas and go complain about your comrades who are living outside of the US.
Funny enough there are more American working abroad than foreigner working in the US (legally)
America and Special Interest Lobbyists have fed the American Middle Class to the desperate third world parasites of the world with the hopes of making more profits. This parasitic feast on the American Middle Class has destroyed our quality of life in America and has also compromised the future of our children. It has also destabilized American society, resulted in the disappearance of our culture, and has further made the American workplace ethically unbearable.
