Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

Its all coming together

For years employees wondered why there was no combination of buildings in San Juan two half empty buildings one on either side of town. Most smart businesses would consolidate but we could never figure out why they had a skimpy 30 people sitting in an office that holds 400. Now you know it was to beef up the sale. There are actually people out there that believe we might not sell or that it is going to take the full 6 month process. If you go back and take all the things your brain tried to rationalize away like the way your coworker practically lives in your bosses office almost certainly stabbing people in the back etc...add it all up your math will surely tell you that we are already in the final stages of the sale to be complete by end of year and that the email about raises is just confirmation to the chosen COP elite that were spared and soon to transfer out that the asset was sold and COP is on its way back up.

They will probably announce the asset sold at RL townhall on 14th.

Clearly they kept the office space to boost the valuation of San Juan ;)

There was a meeting recently where our president slipped up and said that we'd already "sold San Juan."
