Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

Hello Everybody!

How's it feel to work for the NEW number THREE in the oilfield services sector?

I can remember when HALLIBURTON, (note that I did NOT say WE, since I worked for them when HALLIBURTON, home of the Flying 'H', WAS the NUMBER ONE service company, and NOT some THIRD rate has been, relying on its PAST reputation, now being run by edumacated, and arrogant, idiots, who have NEVER spent one day in the field, and who actually believe that the field hand is nothing more than expendable trash.

S--- it up, little pussies, being a frac weenie is NOT the end all, be all of life, and when pressure pumping companies are a dime a dozen, prepare yourselves to be lumped in with all the other third and fourth tier companies out there, and remember this, that the PAST reputation that YOU are riding on, will NOT, repeat, NOT last forever.

Two years ago Halliburton management started to let senior field personal go. 30 to 41 years of service. This was in the Gulf of Mexico offshore pls.Cements toolmen.,mud engineers.

I'm not saying the younger employees can't do it. But there is something to be said for experience .

If you had a commercial airline captain with 4 years service .And a captain with 24 years experience. The plane has trouble.or severe weather.

Who would you want to be flying. Halliburton is riding on it's past reputation. Poor job quality. And problem jobs are the future.

"Let Big Dave and Little Jeff worry about that BS. After all, they are the ones who have to answer to the shareholders and, hopefully, have to pay the consequences for our poor performance someday."

Glad to see that someone admits to the "poor performance" that has brought Halliburton to the NUMBER 3 position within the oilfield services industry.

Thankfully, the customer is becoming wise to just what a joke Halliburton has become.

Now there is an employee the upper mis management will surely want for their own ranks. He/she doesn't care that the company is third ( or fourth ) rate and thinks everyone is here for just a paycheck. At this time in their life they are eaten up with the total crap Halliburton and everyone else has fed them that "It don't make any difference" and when you no longer care about anything, I can assure you that YOU and all your 3rd or 4th rate worthless employees will be giving even less in service to the customer. In the end, you idiot, that means the company fails and there you are again looking for a job. Eventually, others will no longer hire you because YOU are now a part of the problem. Have a nice day.
