Thread regarding Sabre Holdings layoffs

To H1B or Not to H1B

In reading about Trump vs Obama's stance on the H1-B program, I am lead to the following conclusion

It may not be today, it may not be tomorrow, but either way in the future the large companies will have successfully manipulated the average IT skilled worker wage into the sub-$50K/year range. The choices will be, either agree to this rate of pay, or we will simply H1-B the entire workforce, or offshore to a vendor/satellite office in another low wage country.

Sabre is already headed in this direction with an army of IT interns and hiring increases in offshore offices. Yes my friends, the days of skilled IT jobs making good pay are going away in the coming years for us Americans. Trump, Hillary, Obama, Donald Duck, we are all screwed regardless.

Happy Monday.
