Thread regarding NetApp layoffs

Confirmed that positions in Vienna are being cut

3.5 years with NTAP, this is my 5th time missing the cut (well, at last that I'm aware of, that may change this week) but I am losing peers that I have been honored to work with. Really getting tired of good people be affected. I loved NTAP when I joined and still like it but the future is looking even more uncertain than it did 6 months ago.

Don't get how NTAP can still be considered a GPTW, even if that doesn't mean much.

Wish everyone at NTAP all the best and hope that if you are affected, that you find yourself in a better situation 2 months from now.

Remember, we are all human and deserve to be treated fairly so have some compassion for your peers who are being affected.

It has nothing to do with being a good place or bad place to work; it's the business macro. I work in a very large production environment now after working for ntap for 11 years. I work with teams from multiple storage equipment manufacturers and I can tell you that they are ALL getting hammered. The cloud is a big disruption to the business; it's to the point where it's almost impossible to get the other very VERY large manufacturer to support us. Glad I got out when I saw the rats (C-levels) starting to jump of the ship...
