Really trying to help. If you're on the finance, accounting, IT, tax, HR your skill set is transferable to many industries. All others are better served towards Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals and perhaps refining. Wages will be lower except in Pharmaceuticals which is comparable. EHS transfers similar.

If your still at Noble your hanging on to "blue sky". Can't you see this is an organization in serious decline. It's rotting from the top down. It has neither the leadership or talent to become relavent. One way or another you will be gone sooner than later.

I am going to be a treasure hunter. Search for gold doubloons mostly, and some other pirate treasure of course.

You are going to have to think outside the box and match skill sets. I would put money on the fact that I bet you will be much happier when it's over!

Yes, other industries want some of the same skills needed in oil and gas. Hopefully you in a department such as land where those skills will transfer over easily. I was laid off last November and have since found something I like so much better. However, be prepared for a cut in earnings. Sorry to tell you that but when oil is up its payday for all. When it's down, well...
