I know Sears is getting desperate for sales so this is a way to try to market to the few customers they do have, but wouldn't it just be easier to extract this information from the transaction automatically?
I answer just the bare minimum (what they bought and why they bought it) because it's completely nonsensical. Corporate can find out what their customers are purchasing by extracting transaction records. Any competent IT dept could automate a script to extract and process these records. As to why they are purchasing, who is using the purchase, etc...that's a little too personal. Sears does not understand that a customer just wants to buy their merchandise, they do not owe Sears an explanation as to why they bought it.
Also, what's with having to sign into PMP (Performance Management Platform) to record how many interactions you've had with customers, how many sales you've closed and how many recaps you've sent?
Too much is asked of us for what amounts to a job that pays not much more than minimum wage. Whatever happened to showing up to work and giving it your best shot without going through so many hassles and being micromanaged to death?
