I heard rumors that another impending layoff round coming in November. Is it correct?

AMBU was a losing enterprise from Day 1.
AMBU is having lay offs. Several...
Now the real losers are finally being laid off. Hey any HR people?
If its the poster who is the problem, why not claim all of Chevron is bigoted? Oh, he might have a point and there actually might be a problem? No. Surely not. 3rfm knows everything about that particularly situation. Can't be wrong at all.
Sounds like he hit the spot -3rfm.
-3uvt, I think they did remove many of the A-holes out of Houston already. Most of what's left are the B-holes.
If you call theChevron hotline with the names of the bigots, you will have ordered your walking papers. No one who blows a whistle will remain employed at Chevron for long.
Name the person, 3twi. If anything, just the 2 initials for his first and last name. But, I think the Covington office will see many cuts, since it will be closing soon enough and the few remaining personnel will be relocated to Houston. I hope you are one of the fortunate ones to stay with Chevron.
Just one, -3twi? You can't improve a culture like that one by removing a single person. Theres a cancer of bigotry that is going to require much more than that.
Maybe it's time to make some serious cuts in Covington. There is one guy in particular that needs to go.
I would like to participate. Where do I sign up?
Everyone will participate in the layoffs. No one is exempt. Will need the cut very close to the bone this time.
Who participates in the upcoming layoff? Upstream, corporate, opcos?
Layoff to get started in November is true. So much for a Merry Christmas. More like a sorry one. Hold on to your a$$ and your money. It's going to get ugly again.
The spineless liberal trolls on this site are working overtime deleting everything in reference to Hillary and Trump. LMAO.
Unfortunately, as much as we hope oil prices to rebound and stay up, it will not be soon. Because of continued low oil price expectations, CVX and the energy industry in general will contract even more. This means further layoffs and asset sales. Expect downsizing announcements soon.
Is anyone surprised?
ABU next round start next month in October. Best of luck to everyone
Spring 2017 FE PDC will be a layoff event.
I wonder what AMBU will look like. We were told no layoffs in 2017.
I heard that they are cleaning out the deadwood in Houston, which is most of the office.
@koi, im afraid there aren't any managers that would give a 'rank and file' employee a straight answer anymore. But, ask the questions nonetheless and observe their body language closely. These people may have been de-balled by senior execs, HR and the lawyers to clam up, by the body language doesn't lie.
I hear they are going clear the house in Covington!!!
Depending on location, yes. Some locations will be forced to enter 2017 with the approved business plan headcount on Jan 1. That means house must be cleaned in Nov or Dec. just ask a local manager. If they don't give you a straight answer, prepare for the worst.
Truth. We will be told of a layoff occurring in early 2017.
November layoffs are a real possibility. Between mid November to mid December is a historically traditional time for layoffs to clear up staffing before the new calendar year. But, who really knows?
March 2017. Here we go again.
Rumors I've heard is Spring 2017
This is not likely. Chevron execs like to party this time of year. It does not look good to the public to have large ROMs during the holidays while management drinks and dances in black tie and glittery gowns.
