QCOM acquired Csr. It had 2-3k employees. Also, lower cost regions got replacement reqs.

I wasn't a fan of these conspiracy theories, but now I have to believe it. Most of the folks I know left Qualcomm are the better ones. And once you are in the bay area or Austin or perhaps elsewhere, you see how other companies compete for talents. But alas the big Q!
