Thread regarding CenturyLink layoffs

The chain of leadership is awful. Can't get anything done or changed due to to many supervisors. Moving stuff over seas has been awful.

Sales has caused many of our problems by over selling or creating orders that are wrong or unnecessary. No department can see what others can so you spend most of your time on the damn phone. Medical s---s due to the abuse by everyone and it just goes on and on. The only good thing I have to say is I'm glad I have a job where I get to go home each night and have paid off days.

When I was still there there in 2014, CTL used an outsourcing company called Accenture. I questioned my manager and SVP why we are paying for them and I was p--pooed for questioning their decisions (I did their financials). I could not find anything in CTL financials that showed the $50M plus CTL spends a year for this outsourcing service has reaped anything higher in return. The financial management on the local operations side are horrible. No problem throwing you under the bus to lay you off and save their job. Funny thing is, those managers are still there, the company is still suffering, and worst part is, my old manager still talks like a sloth. A 10 minute meeting would last 45 minutes. Keep the crappy managers CTL and let the good workers leave for better jobs!
