No posts here but there are layoffs in ABC right now (September '16) - there are many rumors that 2017 will be brutal so get ready if you work for ABC. Not sure about the rest of Disney, they have pretty aggressive when it comes to job cuts - any blip from the revenue side results in cuts and everyone is used to that.

I'm hearing that at least 100 layoffs are being planned at 77w for March '17
Ever wonder how Disney makes money just about every quarter? The Company is great at layoffs and they combine/dissolve departments often. Jobs are sent back and forth from Burbank to Orlando. Outsourcing is HUGE and LOTS of jobs have gone to India. They are also very creative when it comes to the need to remove a few folks at a time right before they've hit a milestone and have earned perks. Their HR is a joke and concerns (safety, abuse, health) are never looked into or even taken seriously (and yet you are constantly given reassurances the matters are being looked into). Disney may look glittery on the outside, but inside the "pixie dust" isn't magical, it's suffocating.

Just got laid off last day 2/8/17
Please retrain these employees to join other areas in the company instead of just laying off.
